Last week ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± staff members were well represented among the distinguished list of presenters at the (ACRC)’s 66th Annual Conference.
With over 200 members worldwide, ACRC is an international voice for high-quality children’s residential & community services – focused on leadership, advocacy, innovation, and best practices. A highlight of the conference was the presentation of the ACRC Lifetime Fellow Award to ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Chief Program Officer Joe Ford.
This year’s Annual Conference, a 4-day hybrid event held both in-person in Louisville, KY and virtually, was a wonderful opportunity for staff to share and learn with colleagues across child and family-serving programs. ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Chief Public Policy and Advocacy Officer Wendy Wang welcomed participants at the Public Policy Town Hall where the current national public policy landscape was discussed. The ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Team also presented on LGBTQ+ inclusive policies in residential care, strategies for employing family/parent partners in residential programs, and best practices on serving commercially exploited youth, among other topics. Other ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± staff presenters included Nick Ryan, Daisy Delgado, Tim Lin, Gloria Salgado, Natalie Gallardo, Cynthia Williams, and Gina Peck-Sobolewski.
